I guess the cz-3d replaced the cz-5 what are the advantages of this new machine and also will the coils interchange ?

CZ3D is the only CZ manufactured as all other models are not...Yep coils will interchange...Advantages are the 3D has a mode for newer areas and a mode for old areas...I guess one could argue which is best but many swear by either...as both are excellent units..

CZ3D is the only CZ manufactured as all other models are not...

This statement is confusing me,please explain.I have a cz-5,if it wasn't manufactured, does it really exist?

From 1993 to about 2004 or 2005....they just stopped making it and now the only CZ manufactured is a CZ3D....got it....

I have the CZ3D, a CZ70, CZ6a, ID Edge, CZ20 and been hunting with fishers a very long time. Do I have other detectors, well sure I have but, this a Fisher forum. First let me say that the CZ3D will do everything they say it will do. Just read the field reports and Nasa Tom's reports. You have two detectors in one. A beach machine and the best old coin machine I have ever had. The old coins are now easy to find. I do have to laugh when I hear guys crying  about digging Iron targets. Me I don't have a problem. A very long time ago I did but, now sure I dig one every once in a time and even I get fooled but not much. No different with any other detector. You just have to know a few tricks and they are simple. Mike's CZ page will tell you all about it. We old guys, that have been hunting with Fishers for so many years we get embarrassed over it, know how to hunt the iron. Would I get rid of my CZ3D nope cause I would get rid of all the rest before my 3D took a hike. Coil for coil I will say there is no detector out there that is deeper (except my Shadow X5 dirt only though,Fishers better at the beach) in my area or at the beach's I hunt. If I could only have two detectors then it would have to be the Shadow X5 and the CZ3D. They say that the CZ3D is not for everyone. I say you are lucky to get 2 machines in one and it is not hard to learn and you will really dig some old coins if they are there to dig, you will get them and get them deeper. Later Jerry aka Tinfoil.

I was just wondering if I made a wise choice ? I bought a cz-5 the other night for 450.00 I thought that was a good deal and now bidding on a cz-3d , from the reviews they sound like a hellva machine , I have a bunch of machines and love them all . I alway try to get a edge on my buddies and pull out the old , any machine will find clad , went out the othe day , three of us and found 30.00 in clad in two hrs. , that was a helluva of a honey hole , I should get a percentage for finding that hole dont u think.

CZ3D is the only CZ manufactured as all other models are not...

Then I guess you meant to say "CZ3d is the only CZ (still being) manufactured as all other models are not..."

I agree on the CZ's. they are simply awsome on the beaches.
