CZ 3D -- CZ 6a

Is the cz 3D water and sand proof like the old cz 6a's were? The wife is thinking of getting a unit and I think Fisher will be the brand she will get. I have a White's DFX and she thinks it would be best to get a another unit that can be used in the rain when people tend to leave the beach.I don't like the rain coat for my DFX, I think she's right! The other unit we are kicking around is a 1280X... The cz 20 is just a little to much money right now. Was thinking used but really want the lifetime warranty!I'm new to the DFX but learning it is going well I have no issues, Finds are going well. I find it as easy to use as I want it to be.I'm the kind of guy who likes a more technical machine. The wife needs a easy to run easy to learn unit as she has never used one before. What do you guy's gals think is best? Thanks for your Help.George

Weather resistant is more like it for the CZ6A...Want a waterproof have to go with the CZ20..
CZ3D does not have the weather resistant feature. Tough to beat a CZ for depth and user friendly. DFX is by no means weather resistant also..Many do well with either but its much easier to just put a plastic bag over the CZ and go from there. Pretty tough to cover up a DFX with a plastic bag because of its configuration..Some enjoy user friendly and some like complicated units with many changeable facets so its your call...Only CZ you can buy now with the weather resistant features new is a CZ70 and of course the CZ6A would have to be bought used.
In any case weather resistant is not waterproof and recommended for a light drizzle at best..
