CZ-3D bags a Seated half-dime!!!

OK, time to come out of lurk-dom and post here.
I bought a CZ-3D last year, mostly as a backup detector for my Explorer. As such, I haven't used it much. Well, my Explorer's been on loan to a friend for a couple of weeks, so I've been using the 3D. Got out with it a couple of weeks ago for a short 2 hr hunt. After getting used to its tones again, I managed to pull a couple of wheaties and a gilted Naval button...all gave high tones (sens @ 4, disc @ 0, enhanced mode).

Took the 3D out again yesterday. Started out kinda slow, only 1 wheatie and some clad after about an hour and a half. Then I pulled another wheatie and finally a silver...a 1943D Merc. Continued hunting in the area where I found the Merc and got another nice high tone. Down about 4" I pulled out this little coin...took me a minute or two to realize that it was an 1872 Seated half-dime!
I couldn't believe it! My first Seated coin, my first half-dime, and now my oldest coin find.

Here it is with the other finds for the day:

And after soaking overnight:

I think the 3D will be seeing a bit more use in the days ahead!

Hey Mike, OUTSTANDING JOB!! What state are you hunting in, and what kind of quality finds were you getting with the Explorer? Have you hunted that spot with the Explorer, and what kind of success did you have? Curious minds want to know! CONGRATUALATIONS on FANTASTIC FINDS!! HH,

That is a great find no matter where you live. Was it from a demo?

I'm in California, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I've been doing pretty good with the Explorer. Hadn't pulled a seated yet (they're hard to come by out here), but some of my better finds with it include a Barber half, Barber quarter, a few SLQ's, V nickels, Barber dimes, Mercs, Roosies, etc. I'd hit this park with the Explorer a few time before (although not the particular area where the half dime came from). Mostly pulled 30's and 40's stuff...a dozen wheaties one day. Silver's been tough to find in this park. There was a Navy hospital at this site during WWII and then a park after that. Not sure what was here back in the 1800's, maybe an old farm site. A buddy of mine had found a Seated dime a few weeks earlier.
