CZ 3 D Pro,

Some like the pistol grip and some the S rod style. All comes down to personal preferences, length of arm, type of swing...etc...Seems like the S handle worked well on previous analog CZ's and of course the pistol grip came with newer digital CZ's...Your call....

I think it was to many years with that Sovereign that I had mounted on a Whites XLT rod set up. I am just not a fan of the "S" rod on any unit. The "S" rod and a 5" coil don't bother me, but the "S" rod and the 8" & 10 1/2" coil do, I do not like hip or chest mount. I knew you would be the first poster that did not like this set up, I have read your posts on this subject before, I should have bet some one on this, lol. Have a good one & HH. BJ

BJ....heck I have used both and all a matter of getting used to one or the other..Personally would not switch back and forth between the two styles as it takes different arm muscles for each to swing.I really feel the new armrest with velcro strap on digital models(pistol grip) does make it more comfortable..Again whatever works and one could make good points for either in a debate...

Maybe that was my problem, switching back and forth. Now every unit that I use, has the pistol grip. The new pistol grip rod cost me $50 and the Mod. was easy, I even used a part from a CZ 6a arm cup.I use the Uni Probe head phones and what a mess I would have if I tried to hip mount, I have enough problems with those 2 cables. You said it a long time a go, what ever works for you. I know your not alone on liking the "S" rod over the pistol grip. HH...BJ
