Want to get cz21 and it will be used for saltwater sand and surf in Corpus Christi Texas. Which size coil should i get ....8 or 10?

CZ 21 Which Coil to get?

My preference for best compromise is the 8 inch. Less drag in the water and handles trashy areas better. If you hunt mostly sand and there isn't a lot of trash and you don't wade in the water much, or if you dive or snorkel and are not fighting moving water then maybe the bigger coil would be preferable. For me it's the 8 inch.
If Fisher comes out with a streamlined larger coil that doesn't have as much water drag, then I would need to reconsider.

I have the 8" coil and it works very well and with great depth. Although I do wish I had a larger coil for the large/clean beaches. If only they were interchangeable...

At first hard to swing but you can get used to it and will love the ground you can cover.
Of course, there is no 'right answer' but a personal preference. I like the coverage of the bigger coil, but it is more fatiguing. I also have not found deeper targets (probably me not the CZ) with 8 or 10 inch coils, its all been 6 inches or less. So I actually have used the 8 most of the time. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but if I had to pick one I'd go 8. HH!
