cz-21 on land?

How is the CZ-21 on Land and on Land I meant field, parks, and places besides the beach. Thanks

HEAVY! :)

Now to answer the question that I suspect you are asking... The CZ21 should be the same as any other three tone CZ detector with the exception the CZ20/21 is factory set in the "salt" mode and the other CZ detectors can be toggled between the normal and salt modes.

so it being set in salt mode at all time will it hinder my finds on land?

When I started learning with the CZ-20 (my first CZ) I took it to familiar sports fields and tot lots to practice. It is heavy, but it does well at finding targets. Locked in salt mode the CZ-20 is a little less sensitive to very small jewelry than the CZ6A I have when it is in normal mode. Neither CZ picks up thin chains, even in auto-tune. The biggest disadvantage is that you can't change coils. Some trashy ground really calls for the 5 inch coil, some open fields call for the big coil. The 8 inch coil is a very good compromise that, I think, handles the great majority of conditions one encounters very well.

Its just plain heavy and bulky for land use and of course having no meter is a minus...Locked in salt mode ia also a minus as there is some loss of depth along with its ability to find gold gold jewelry especially the fine small items..My advice a land CZ and CZ21 would certainly make a good combo...
CZ21 in the water is one of the best especially for salt water situations and of course the buoyancy of the water does away with the heavy and bulky attributes...
