CZ-21/CZ3D/1270

Given the same coil size which goes deeper ??

The 1021 cz3d I have (only using it a few months) is deep in enhanced mode. I use to use a 8" deep x 6" wide spade for my f-75, and it sufficed. I recently purchased a "raven" from Predator Tools and when using the cz3d, the target (most of the time) is still in the hole. Now this is farm field hunting (not much iron or trash) where the 3d excels. Also good in the wet salt beach.
I believe the 21 is locked in salt mode and is as deep as the 3d in salt mode from what I read, correct me if I'm wrong guys.
I don't know the specifics of the 1270, never used one.
Just today I dug an Indian a measured 9" deep and the signal was loud and clear not "iffy" with the 3d. A true nine inches is deep when you look down into the hole. I am constantly saying "damn" to myself when finding coins and buttons that deep with the 3d. I guess I'll just have to get use to it.:)

You have the EXACT same soil conditions with water content, the same user and the same target field. It just won't happen. You need ONE person with all three detectors on the same targets in the same ground.

Kevin's question has to do with me so I will give y'all the conditions.

Land
Coastal mineralized sand
Wet/dry
8" coil

Did I miss anything? Kieth

Scuba is saying that to get an accurate answer to the question, someone has to have all 3 detectors testing in the same spot, same time, settings the same, etc etc, that's a fact. I couldn't answer the question accurately, so I tried to help with the only ammo I have and hope it's of some use.

I appreciate all the responses. I did not mean to get scientific though. I have all three and I believe the CZ-3D and the CZ-21 goes as deep as the 1270, at least my 1270, and I just received it back from Fisher from repairs. I do remember a certain individual whom hunted Palo Alto Battlefield with us (by request of the National Parks and USGS Services) that seemed to be digging smaller and deeper items with HIS 1270, then I did that day with my '21.

You really need the ground to be the same AND the coin to be in the same depth and the same orientation, like on its edge, tilted or whatever is next to it.
