CZ-21 after a few gold finds i'm seeing a pattern on tones

It seems that every gold target ive pulled with the CZ has had a solid mid tone two way hit. I have dug many thousands of mixed tone signals as well. None of them turned out to be anything of value other than the coins "clad". To the guys who have used the 20/21 longer than me. Are you getting the same results ?

EZrider,
Last summer I got a small 9k ring (unusual to find 9k here) that was scratchy low to mid tone bounce one way and low tone the other. When it was up and out of the scoop, it air tested solid midtone. Did not notice iron in the scoop when it came up, but would not be surprised if there was a little iron decomposing very close to the ring in the clay bottom that I found it in. Also recently got a scratchy mid-tone hit at the local beach that was a silver ring with a break in the band. Picture of that dirty silver ring is below in the walk with the CZ-20 post.

Many do give good solid smooth sounding tones, but some do not.

Not all gold rings come in at the mid tone because of the metals that are alloyed with the gold. The white gold can come in scratchy and even in the low tone making you think it is Iron. As was mentioned a broken band will give you funny sounds too and a low tone.

Solid tone is a good indicator but if you read the other post not 100 percent accurate due to a variety of reasons...Many junk targets such as a lead sinker and some tabs will do the same and those that investigate get the ones others miss,,,

Had a bell tone on a large silver cross that was only covered by a little grass. So far no high or bell tones on gold. Hope to get those! That would mean BIG piece of gold!
Cheers,

I've been using a CZ20 for over 10 years and I usually get mid tones on gold. I have had high tones and bell tones on larger gold rings too.
