Cz 20 threshold issues

undertoe

Member
Hey guys, got out to my old beach today. When I turned my machine on and set it to auto tune to ground balance her,I noticed the threshold sounded totally different.
I got it to ground balance ok,but it sounded kind of wishy washy and erratic.
She seemed to run ok in disc though, actually all in all she ran pretty good other than the threshold sounding strange.
Has this happened to any of you?

Can't say that I've had an erratic threshold on a CZ; except when getting close to certain other detectors (pulse induction, the minelab BBS and FBS, and the White's DFX platforms seem to get picked up in the threshold if they get near). Any chance you were near some high levels of interference?

check the batteries.

First thing I did was change the batteries, but this beach is under some power lines come to think of it.
Although,I have hunted several times without an issue. Gotta get down to garage to test machine...thanks

Power lines can be strange areas ... no problem for long periods of time and then they get an insulator starting to break down or a piece of garbage hanging on or across the lines and they start radiating broad ranges of frequencies until fixed or cleared. CZ normally handles power line areas pretty well, but the F75-ltd is not near as happy around some of them.
Cheers,
tvr
