CZ-20 settings and ground balancing in South Florida

Cracked

New member
I just purchased a used CZ-20 and I took it out to the beach for a couple hours yesterday for the first time. I attempted to ground balance it in the water and on the dry sand, but I'm not sure that I did it properly. I heard to sounds as I held the pinpoint button and dropped the coil and turned the ground knob. I just stuck the setting on 5. Any advice on this?

Also, what are the best settings for this model in South Florida? I've asked two people and received two different answers. I plan to try out both, but I would really appreciate any feedback here as well.

I hear that SF has very little in the way of ground minerals. What setting would be the best for the ground in SF in the water with the CZ-20? Anybody?
