CZ 20 QUICKSILVER

Sure would like to know how folks feel about the difference between a CZ 20 and CZ 21? I have CZ barely used and I want to sell it and get another updated version since I haven't metal detected in some years and I figure the 21 must be better. Thoughts?

They are the same, so if you have no problems with yours do not waste the money as you will not gain anything.

I hear from some old timers that they prefer the 20. Parts are gone so if you send them in for repair it get the upgrade to a 21. I don't know how much is myth and how much is actual here. We tend to color our perceptions with our expectations and MDing is certainly an art in some ways. My opinion is they are probably not all that different. New is usually better, not always. No matter what they are both excellent water/beach units that one would not go wrong with.

And yes if your 20 breaks they have to make it a 21 BUT, rumor has it, the new electronics come from CHINA. My CZ-21 was a 20 and they are both great machines

I have a CZ21 and my dad has a CZ20. We've used both machines with great success over the years and I like the CZ 20 more. Maybe it's just my imagination, but it seems to be a tad deeper on rings than the CZ21 in disc mode. The tones also sound very slightly different, but then again that could be my imagination...
