CZ-20 On The Way!

I got a great deal on a unit with case, and can't wait for it to get here! Monday is the day. Got my 4 Tenergy 9v batteries today. Will charge them tomorrow, then twiddle my thumbs until the CZ arrives! I'll make a hand scoop to match my larger scoop this weekend so I can scoop while I dive.

Enjoy the CZ-20.....wish I'd bought one years ago !!

"They don't make 'em like they used to".........oh so true.

Happy hunting,
Tony

Thanks, Tony!

CZ arrived. I've had some issues with it, but am hoping that getting it under water will fix that. Seems that I have to turn the sens way up to get it to register anything deeper than 3", but then it goes crazy with beeping from EMI. Took it out to a location where there should be no EMI (in the mountains, by a river), and still got unsteady beeps when I pushed it up to 8 on sense. Depth was much better, but hard to tell a good tone from a random beep. We'll see how she does when I isolate her from EMI with liquid insulation!

Not normal at all.
CZ's are very stable. And deeeep.

Tenergys should work fine, but they don't run as long as quality Alkaline batteries and they drop like a rock at the end of their cycle. If you keep on top of them you should have no problem. Mine ran out of poop last time out, though my 3D only burns 2 at a time.

I've got a telly nic cz20 I'm considering parting with for another unit. It's a 2007 model and just recently picked a dime up in the lake at every bit 15 inches . Kinda blew my mind as I almost gave up on the signal.

RockDigger,
I know this is an old thread...but did you ever get your CZ20 to quiet? I was going to say, the most important thing to do w these CZ20s is to properly ground balance them for each different site and conditions !!!
I hope it worked out for you and you are happy with the CZ20, they are indeed a great machine, even today...
