CXIII Loves Silver!

4 for 4 with silver last four times out.

Went back to the 1790 historic house. My theory is most likely correct. Clean fill was brought in during the mid 1950's.

I am able to find silver, but nothing older than 65 years, which is enough for me.

Found a bunch of wheaties, matchbox cars and the quarter & dime.

At least in my books. :)

Nice coins you got.

Don't see too many posts about the old CXs etc. but those old machines WILL hunt... heck, my mid-90s GTA 1000PM is in the truck right now... last silver I found was with a Freedom Ace Plus.

How deep did you have to dig for those?

Skillet

The dime was close to four inches, the machine said 3+, the quarter 4 1/2, loose silty soil. the original harder clay is about 8 or 9 inches down. I think my depth may be off on the CXIII, I seem to be digging more than it tells me. ANy one else find this?

GET THIS: The owner said he is going to be renovating the house and may be regrading the outside! He wants to have me check out the dirt basement ...for a picture of the house , see my post "got permission to hunt 250 year old House" here: http://www.findmall.com/read.php?32,343120,343120#msg-343120
