Cutlass uMax Stuck in All Metal... Disc Not Working At All

Hello. Has anyone had a similar problem? I ordered a new potentiometer hoping that it just doesnt switch over to disc when i turn the knob. Any thoughts besides the obvious send it in to Tesoro?!

I bought I used silver micro match that had a dirty switch. The unit looked like new but switching between all metal and disc did nothing. I held the detector so the switch was upside down and shot it a little compressed air in the switch and that fixed it. I think contact cleaner would be ok too but I don't have experience using it on the switches on metal detectors. I did use contact cleaner on the pot on my amigo 2 to to get it to work more consistently.

It's not unusual for swifches to get sticky. I often work them back and forth vigorously a few times to help keep them freed up.

Chainsmoker, I had the exact same experience with the Silver Micromax I bought. Looked brand new but disc all metal switch did not function. Compressed air and working it back and forth is all it took to fix er up. For $124 I'm not complaining much. It has been a great detector.
