Cutlass II

I'm new to the forum and fairly new to T-hunting. Back in 85 I bought a cutlass II, I believe it cost me a hundred dollars, but am not sure. Anyway, I've seldom used it until year before last. We were shutting down the golf course for the winter and needed to find some valves, and not having much luck when I remembered I had my dector in my truck. We used it and found most of the valves, thereby saving a lot of digging and repair work. Not bad for an old dector.

Well Thanks for posting that, Coyote!

We love to see something practical done with the tools to justify traipsing across the countryside after gold & silver treasures!

They can really pay for themselves quickly when you've got a work crew standing around, on the clock!

Cutlass that went into production in November of that year. It was made thru August of '90. The Cutlass II was made from July '92 thru August '97.

They were intended to be simple-to-use "entry level" detectors, just like today's Compadre. Well, they were, and are, but that's not to say they don't work!

Make sure you put it to use often. have you since 'upgraded' to something newer?

Yep I sure do, we now have a fisher gold bug and will have a white in a couple of weeks. The only reason we have these is because we found them in a pawn shop in Dayton for the right price. Would like to have a Lobo though. Maybe some day.
