Curser shifts

I find at times the curser will be in the right side of the smartfind screen up at the top but when I pinpoint the target it shows in the left side of the smartfind screen. Where at other times the pinpoiter will keep the position it was in while in detect mode. Why does this happen. Thanks in advance.

If you have the SE...it's probably because you are over iron instead of a good targhet.

I use the pinpoint mode on the SE as the final piece of the puzzle when deciding to dig because it does ID in that mode.

Many times over deep coins...the cursor will never lock on...in fact it usually does not. It flutters and bounces around the top.

Over these tyupes of signals...when I hit pinpoint...and the cursor stayson the right side...I'll dig. If it moves over to iron...I usually walk.

In some instabces though.,.if the sound is real sweet...even though the cursor moves towards iron when I pinpoint....I might still dig it.

Thanks for the info. You have helped me to understand my SE several times now and I appreciate it. I feel more confident with my SE each time I use it.

You're more than welcome.

I'm not real technical...and I might not be real smart:cool:...but I'll help people If I can...and do the best to explain it in a way just like I would like done for me.....in a way it can be understood.:)

This is a great piece of advice!!!

sometimes that will help you ID a target as good or bad but be certain you are on the good target and not on a piece of iron right next to it.
