I just spoke to Dave's daughter, Laurel. Dave is still being poked and prodded, with many tests being performed in Boston. Dave has had multiple strokes,but Boston has stopped them from reoccurring. They haven't found the root cause yet. The family has a web site set up, for Dave, with current updates, and Laurel invited anyone to view it! You can also post after you sign in. The web site is one word.. caringbridge.com and then on the lower left, punch in, again one word.. davidsmithvt okay? Can't any better than that! Laurel is printing the different messages, and reading them to Dave while visiting. Boston is only thirty miles away, but its a hectic drive with the traffic any given day. Laurel brings her children,which i am sure is great therapy for Dave to know they are there for him. So are we! Wishing VT Dave a quick recovery! Rj
