Hey, I found these things last year and wanted clarification on what exactly they are and from what time period. Any general ideas are appreciated too. I find these few things to be quiet interesting finds, especially what looks to be a paratrooper badge and what someone said is a Beetles concert pin. What looks like a paratrooper badge and looks like a Beetles pin, were both found in my yard which I thought was ironic. I am clueless on what the thing is that looks like a locket and what time period it comes from. I'm pretty interested in finding out about it. I even put a wedding band I found in there just to give an idea of size. Again, I appreciate any ideas on what these things could be. Thanks. :)

Well, the middle badge is a paratrooper pin. And, the peace button appears to be a Vietnam era anti-war pin.

You seem to be right on par with me about the paratrooper badge and for the Vietnam pin, that is a new one on me and it makes a bit of sense considering what it says.

I can still hear those drill sargents from 1972: " I wanna be an airborne ranger, I want to live a life of danger!" That didn't make us recruits mad like : G I grits, G I gravy, Gee I wish I'd joined the Navy. 17 years old and wondering what the heck made me join the army. My buddy and I almost signed up for airborne training, but there was a long line and he looked at me and said: do you really want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane for $40.00 extra a month and I said in my best or worst Jimmy Stewart imitation: Well.....No, I just thought you wanted to and we skedaddled back to our seats with the Drill instructor yelling, wait, we'll get to you in a few minutes. lol Thanks for posting those wings, it sure brought back some memories. HH.

Thanks for the story and glad I could help! It is a good one. :clapping:

I'm sorry I got back to this so late, but I mainly came back to figure out what the gold looking locket is. I never could figure out the identity of it even after a ton of research. I couldn't find any matching pictures either. Perhaps it is a unique piece?
