culpepper va

Never had a problem with my AT PRO here in Virginia soil.. I hunt mostly all the lakes and parks here. I'm only a free miles down the road from PALMYRA VIRGINIA Been detecting 45 years. AT PRO is a great detector and I had them all over the years. GOOD LUCK.

Thanks tarajudy for the reply, I have been using mxt for awile, recently bought AT Pro. Just wondering how it performed in the hot soil of Virginia.

I will be going to Culpeper in October for the DIV hunt and I have hunted it several times. I can tell you that the soil is very hot in some areas. Bullets and buttons will sound like iron on VLF machines. The best advice I can give in hunting that area with a VLF machine is do not discriminate and dig every signal. Swing very slowly. I will my taking my AT GOLD as a back up to my TDI.
