Here's a button I dug last week. Has an eagle looking right so it's different than the common Gen. service ones. There's like a crosshatch pattern behind the eagle. It appears to be a 2 piece, but there's no backmark at all. Any ideas? thanks, Bill
 
I dug a button like that before. My guess on age is 1840s. Nice find, good luck digging, John
