Cubfan, you hunt this weekend??Salisbury seemed very sanded in:cry::thumbdown::ranting:

Scoopinloot and I hit a football field hard Saturday morning for about 5 hours. I think both of us were sore from all the clad we dug up - I didn't get his tally, but I ended up at around $13 and he was right there with me. Found a handful of wheat pennies, but no silver.

The odd thing is, right off the bat scoop dug up a really nice 1900 Queen Victoria One Penny - how the hell that got out on the field I don't have the slightest idea!!

There are so many targets on that field that I think it could be hunted over and over all next year and still be giving up loot. We had our hearts set on finding some jewelry items, but other than a small silver earring, nothing else turned up - I'm positive there is jewelry out there - we just didn't put our coils over them yet.

I'm probably gonna hold off on Hampton/Salisbury until we get a good storm - heading back to Wisconsin for a week for the holidays too, so hopefully no NE'r will hit while I'm gone!

Good luck and Merry Christmas to you and your family
