Cuba

Metalpickle

New member
Going to Cuba in January and I wanted opinion on whether I should bring along the ATPro. Not sure if it's a safe thing to do or even a proper thing to do there. I'm in uncharted territory. Could use the wisdom of the forum on this one please.

Being a US citizen I wouldn't go there! Plus you wouldn't be able to use a metal detector there do to the laws against it. Safe travels.

They will let you metal detect, Then when you are done they will confiscate your machine and all treasure finds.... Any way you will be the first to experiment and send us your report on your experiences there....describe in detail please. good luck !!

Not a good idea to detect there as its not permitted.
I'm From Canada will not go there because of that.
Government very paranoid when it comes to electronics.
Go else where, beaches of Mexico would be my choice

I checked with their Embassy before I went and was told not to bring it. So I went and did a bunch of other things there. I've detected other places though like, Mexico,St.Martin, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Dominican, try them or other places in the Caribbean.

Have a great holiday.

Mexico has been beaten to death. Saint Martin/Sint Maarten ain't too bad still has quite a bit of hunting pressure. The Cayman's I heard there's twenty guys waiting for something to fall off a tourist. Bermuda has alot of regulations. Dominican has some top hunters looting it's shores at least it on the least expensive side as costs go. My recommendation would be the gold fields of Guadeloupe very little hunting pressure 18k worn by most there some there even like 22k how can you go wrong with a place like that??? HH
