ctx3030 with 6 inch coil produce a surprise :clapping:

Went back to the old park area that produced an 1842 dime that i have gone over several times with the
stock coil.
got a strong 12-45 signal ll direction at 4 inches so i figued it would be a quarter
when i started digging there was a root in the way so started working around the root till i say
what first looked like a dirty quarter at the bottom of the hole
When i picked it up i thought this is too big for a quarter so started looking close
OMG it was a large copper
not till i got home and was able to get it cleaned up could i tell it was a 1827 large cent
the oldest coin ever and first large cent.

That's a gorgeous copper - I find so many and can't see much if anything of their detail so they basically become a waste..however when I do find one in any of my plowed fields - I keep repeating the large copper chant...
