CTX3030 Software upgrade August 2016

Hello everyone, just noticed the August 2016 software upgrade for the CTX3030 on the Minelab website. As I don't have a windows PC and only have a Mac I have never used the X Change 2 software to program my CTX . I found out I could download the CTX3030 software upgrade file on to my Mac and then connect my CTX to my Mac and upgrade the operating software on to my CTX. Could any one tell me what is the improvements using the upgraded software?

I needed a good laugh guys.. Thanks. My CTX just gave me the message USB connected when I was at the beach. That means I had moisture in my USB port. It was sealed tight as could be and I got moisture in it anyway. I am so angry about it.

Just found these Chinese instructions on my CTX3030 while looking for coins - Sum Ting Hai Ding in Ground -Yu Dig Nao
My detector just stopped and screen displayed - Sum Ting Wong Yu Fix Me Sum Dai

I am also a MAC user and have done nothing with my Xchange2 program. I want to get the most of my machine but it looks like I'll have to get some sort of inexpensive product that is Windows based.

You have two reliable solutions. The first is using MAC's Bootcamp Program but you need to buy Windows Software. I got Win. 7 online for about $ 80.00. Just follonw the instructions with Bootcamp! Only drawback is that you have to logout of your Mac and log into your Windows program each time. The second option allows you to have your Mac & Windows open at the same time. It's called Parallels. You can buy it online. You still need to buy WIndows 7 or 8 or any other Windows system software compatible with XChange 2.
