CTX3030 Is A Nickle Magnet

I set my four tones so nickles have the same high tone as dimes and quarters. Set the size of the second level at 11 bottom and 15 top. Today I tried it out at an old school that was closed several years ago. I dug all high tones targets that read between the 11 and 15. I dug four pieces of can slaw, two spuare aluminum tabs and eleven nickles. Of the 52 coins dug today in a three hour period, twenty percent of them were nickles. Not a bad average.

keep on diggin'

Nice! I did they exact same to catch all the nickles. No gold but so far 3 war nickles, 2 v and 5 buffaloes

Good stuff! Having the tone for nickels similar to the high tone we're use to hearing on silver coins is definitely advantageous. Congrats on building a program that works for you. HH Randy

Thanks Jimmy for sharing your nickel settings, great idea.

My first CTX coin was a worn Shield nickel, from an old settlement near the sutface.

My old Explorer XS was a nickel magnet, like two peas in a pod we was dialed in for deep Liberty and buffalo nickels at old parks. I haven't quite mastered the CTX on deep nickels but using your CTX nickel setting quite sure in no time will be slamming deep nickels from old parks again.

Thanks for sharing, great informative post

Thanks for your input on how to accomplish it. As they say, "nothing to it but to do it".
