ctx3030 in low iron areas

Hi Guys,

When using the ctx3030 in areas that has little iron but plenty of pulltabs . Is the ctx any better than the e-track.

Regards Below2doe.

Masking is masking. You are trying to hit the high tones between the low tones. I had the E Trac for a while. Some out there have used it since day 1 and are better at using it. But I think the CTX is very much better at recovery speed. Combine this with the ability to customize the tones and target trace you are given a good deal of information. One rule that has been around since the beginning of detecting is to use a smaller coil in the trash. The 6 inch coil for the CTX packs quite a punch for it's size. Since the release of the CTX everyone who had or wanted an E Trac needed a comparison. The best way I can put it is like this: The CTX does things that the E trac can not do. In fact it does the things we all wished for when we had an E trac. Is it worth the extra cost? That is up to you. How much do you hunt? How much money can you invest? How important is detecting to you?

Recovery speed is so important because it allows stay put and find good targets in heavily hunted out areas. I found 11 additional pieces of silver in an area several people have hit hard every piece there was iron in the hole. I used the etrac in this area several times and the ctx 3030 pulled them out and after each one i kept askig myself how did i miss this one it rang clear and more stable. than tham my beloved etrac. well it told me one thing the ctx is worth it!!!!!!

Your question is a valid one but the only way you can be convinced is to try a CTX yourself. Recovery speed is way ahead of the E-Trac. TTF with the E-Trac is great in trashy areas but the CTX is TTF +++. I can not explain how the CTX can find silver at 6 inchs or less that the E-Trac could not hear but it does and you will hear this over and over. Multiple targets under the coil at the same time. Iron in the same hole with good targets. All this sounds like a bunch of BS to people that have not used a CTX and if I did'nt have one I would think the same thing. You do not have to use specialized programs either just turn it on and hunt. The CTX is a high dollar machine and is not for everybody but these amazing stories are just that. Amazing but true.
