CTX users who are very experienced Explorer users...

Since I've moved to KY I've experienced much more iron/minerals in the ground. This causes many good targets that are deep to be pulled totally to the iron side of the screen on my Explorer. Is the CTX any better at keeping deep targets out of the iron zone than Explorers or is it the same problem?

I would try running them on the same target and see what you get . That's the only way to confirm it . As far as the ctx in iron it is a lot better than a explorer and ids at greater depth than the explorers . But to compare your soil with mine is not going to be the same . So the only way to know for sure is to run them on the same target which means finding someone with a ctx or renting one . sube

I,ve been hunting one small area so far this year ive hunted with an xlt ,garrett atpro, minelab explorer se pro I have found a few silvers with these detectors in this area but my new ctx has already found ten silver coins and one silver ring and two silver religious medals and I have only been out a few times as the frost has just barly left my ground here in northern vt.not sure about the iron but ive been seeing the awesome power of the ctx this is one great detector looking forward to a great season.
