CTX stock vs 17" coil on the beach

I love my 17" coil for the extra deep sites. It is amazing the depths it will hit coins . I dug several at the 12" plus range last Thursday on a hunt with DrBob . Some of them maxed the depth gauge and several were beyond 12" and were 2 or more targets in same hole. This site had a few inches of fill spread over it around 1950 and it is very common to dig 1940's wheaties at over 9" .

The Barbers are in the 11" plus range and the seated are mostly out of range of even the 17" coil. I must add that I was running in 28 manual and Bob was running in auto +3 and was having difficulty hitting several of the deepest targets. The pinpoint button is your best friend when seeking those extreme fringe depth targets by the way.

PS. The soil is nice black mild gumbo type soil and the moisture content was just good and damp. Also of note is I only dug a couple of nails and their are a lot of them at this public site, Ray.
