On my second hunt about a month ago coil was detected.I retightened the coil wire and was fine.but today it happened again and could not get it to work. When I got home it seemed ok again.

if you're sure everything is connected properly I would contact your dealer or Minelab right away to remedy the situation

I am a minelab dealer and if you were my customer and called me to explain your situation I would def tell you to contact minelab, If your cable has a short in it somewhere you don't want to play with that, water could short out the whole machine!! Hope I saved you a little time!!

Intermittent problems are the hardest to find and like everyone else that has posted, I, too, recommend contacting Minelab asap. You may have to wait on hold for a while (I did), but, they treated me like royalty and corrected my issue on the first call......great folks to deal with!!

They really are trying to change the minds of there consumers about there customer service, I hope they continue this because they have really stepped it up these past 2 years

Went to minelab near my house and they gave me a new coil with no problem.

From what I have seen and experienced, you can't beat Minelab service after the sale!! Have to throw some kudos to Bart at Big Boys Hobbies, too!
