CTX scores platinum and makes someone happy

I headed out this morning to search an older area of Lake Washington but all the roads were closed due to some kind of running/jogging event. So I heading north looking for another spot and everywhere I went was really crowded. I ended up hunting at a swimming area that I knew was hunted out. I figured maybe I could find a recent drop. I wasn't too thrilled about being there because I'd been there three weeks ago and got nothing.

I was hunting for about 45 minutes with no targets at all when a nice gentleman told me he had lost his platinum wedding band there 3 days ago. He described the ring and where he lost it so I started to grid the area out going back in forth covering every square inch. After about 45 minutes, I gave him my cell number and asked him to send me a text so I'd be able to contact him in case he wanted to leave. About a half hour later, I got a solid low-conductive tone in 3 feet of water. I looked down and saw the edge of ring half-buried on the bottom. The gentleman had moved with his family to another area of the park, so I continued to hunt. When I saw him a ways off waved my arms and he took off running to the beach.

He and his wife were absolutely thrilled to get the ring back! Sorry about the sideways pics!

great story, you made two folks happy, that is for sure, congrats

Do you recall what the TID numbers were - I suspect 12-01 to 12-05

I didn't check the TID but it was a super low tone. I suspect you are spot on - 12:01-05.

When I lived in Japan, I would find platinum rings all the time. Back in 2002, I was using the Explorer II and that was a great machine! The TID readings back then were essentially the same - platinum hit hard in the 12-01 to 12-03 range.

WTG!
GOOD FOR YOU and CONGRATS!!!!:clapping:

Awesome, job! Glad you were there to help out.
