About 4 hours of hunt time and notice the rust stains on 4 of the 6 silver coins.Also got a "naked" 1909 wheaty :)
Nothing very deep but several coins had nails in close proximity to them.....
On a side note I had a local politician who was campaigning door to door stop and talk a spell.He said he first thought I was metal detecting but as he got closer and studied the CTX he was not so sure he said. Told me he has a buddy who detects but his machine did not look any thing like the modern wonder I was swinging :smoke:
 
How did the coins with the iron nearby hit? Were they iffy or was there no doubt there was a coin under the coil. Any tips you can pass along.
 
Nice finds. Please elaborateon the targets close to iron.
