CTx issues?

would appreciate some advice about some issues I am having with the CTX. Just began using the CTX and have been on a few hunts so far. I am using basic settings in coins mode. I have noticed that the VID display remains on the screen for several seconds when I pull the coil away from the target. Is this normal? Also, when, I swing the coil over a target a few times, the VID disappears and will not show up for several seconds (I do get an audio signal though). Normal?

Finally, I tried to replicate a test I saw on the YouTube. The operator arranged a series of different coins about 3 inches apart and passed the coil over these to determine recovery speed. As he did it, the VID changed as it passed over the coins. When I tried the same experiment, I could not get the same result and the VID did not change from coin to coin. I am getting the feeling that my recovery speed is off kilter. I tried turning "recovery fast" on but it didn't seem to make any difference. Any feedback or suggestions, would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chuck

Thanks. Now that I have used it for a while, it does seem normal but in the beginning, it seemed like there was a problem between recovery speed and TID display. I even spoke to Brian and Minelab Americas and he verified that it was normal.
Thanks
