Hey Elton,I'm getting a second Ctx for my son next week, let me know if you want to come down and give the Ctx a test drive when it thaws out around here

I bought mine now so I have time to learn some of the settings and figure out and make the programs I'll probably use most.

I have at least 6 inches of frost on bare ground but went to the timber with leaf cover at a secret picnic grove and the ground was huntable! the site has been pounded and still managed a couple of coins and a piece of wire. I was running combined and all the targets were laying with iron and the macine was spot on. No silver the best coin was a1915d wheat.

I never tried it but read in books that sledding hills pay off sometimes. And you just find rings in the snow on the surface.

Yep sledding hills are good. Watch for the south facing hills. Even a few degrees extra of angle can warm them up enough to digem.

Buy 2 of the 17" coils and you will have snowshoes until the melt

HAAAAAAAAAA. Good idea.

As somebody who snowshoes a lot, I can safely say that I would have to lose a LOT of weight before some 17 inch circles work for me. I use a 35inch shoe on each foot and I still sink up to my waist in powder.

Why are Vienna Sausages and Spam SOOOOO good?

Same problem in Massachusetts. But if I have to accept frozen out winters in exchange for my silver rich New England soil, then I will take that any day. Couple more months.

I just want one day a month at 75 degrees that would let me make it till spring. For you southern boys and girls go get while you can.:sadwalk:
