CTX is Ridiculous

Went back to an old home that was built in 1800's where I found countless Indians, and silver. Today I used Digger's
old silver and Indian program. I was hunting around an old walnut tree when I got a 12/25 at 8 inches. After getting
down to 8 inches or so, I put pinpointer in the hole and it went off. Thing was, I could'nt find it. So I ended up grabbing
handfuls of dirt. When I finally found it, I thought I had a little button. So I wiped a little dirt off it, and OH MY GOD!
I found a silver 3 cent piece. I just about dropped a load in my drawers. I have only seen them in pictures. I can't believe
how little and thin it is. What's crazier is the CTX picked it so deep.

What a great day hunting. Many more Indians, silver, a gold ring,a V nickle, a War nickle and 3 more Chinese coins.

Thanks Digger for the Old silver and Indian program.

Congrats on the finds..... especially that little silver 3-cent piece. :beers: Those are tough to come by!!! As I've encouraged since the CTX was released..... make a program based on your sites and target preference. But with that said, I'm glad you had success with the Old silver and Indian program. Looks like it lived up to its name for you today. HH Randy

Good job on your finds. It has been fun locating with the new CTX since I got mine in June. I am finding silver coins for the first time in three years. Not as many or as nice as yours but I am finding what is there when I go out. I still have a lot to learn. Just hunt slow and enjoy.

Just got the date............... 1862

Congrats! Now you know how we feel up here in Canada when we dig Fishscale nickels. Tiny coins, smaller than a dime and thin.

Sweet! One thing I might mention for those who've not looked at that specific program...... I set the tones as LONG. This works very well in areas without a lot of trash. And provides a particularly "HOT" audio response on those small silver coins. HH Randy

Congratulations on a GREAT find and the others are not to shabby either.......:clapping:

Nice Nice Nice that CTX killed those finds Congrats..:twodetecting::minelab::cheers:

Fantastic finds!!

Congrats!!

CTX really is a killer for silver. I found a very small childs silver ring last weekend at 6-7in. Sounded like it was lying on the surface!! The TIDs are really accurate and stable for deep small silver too...

WTG! That's a rare find and a beauty too!

Congrats,
Paul (Ca)

Very nice finds WTG...................................I have found that it hits very hard on small silver also, when I found and 1837 half dime at about 6 to 7".

Amazing! Was it a solid signal 12-25 both ways?

Yes it was. No iffy, just screamed out, "COME GET ME"

I like pitch hold tones myself.

Whoa! Nice work

I ended up going back to the old home site. The owner was now really interested, so I let him follow me around
for a little bit. I let him dig up some signals. Figures the first target is a silver 5 cent trade token, and the second
is a 14 K ring with 2 diamonds. He was so excited, so I let him keep the finds. Ended up with 5 more Indians,
6 Wheaties, another trade token, a Merc, a Rosie, and a Civil War button from a coat. Going back soon.

The old silver and indian program rocks.

Thats awesome!! The strangest thing about the CTX coming from the e-trac is deciphering which signals are deep signals. Things at 8" are banging so loud and clear they might as well be at 3-4". I've tried playing with volume gain to get a softer tone for deep stuff but I havent found a sweet spot with it.
