CTX in Black Sand

Active member
I'm looking for ways to get better performance from this machine in freshwater black sand. Any suggestions? Does it have to be Pitch Hold? No GB? Seawater? I've gotten oval tabs at 15" with the Excalibur in all metal. Why cant the CTX do this?

Interested as well. I've tried using ground coin and manual GB turning sensitivity to manual etc.....but not giving me very great results as well....

In black sand I usually start with the sensitivity at auto +3 and work my way down. I would also suggest lowering your volume gain.

thanks for the replies--its a tough call---practice and in ground target testing is the way to go.
