Well its off to Minelab again...same screen line....and goes to USB connected.....AHHH....going to drive me nuts!!!

That's frustration for sure.... Best luck for a quick turnaround.

Has two months of warranty left....guess it could have happened two months from know?............Still cost 40.00 to 50.00 dollars to send back!.........I don"t knopw about that screen line?.....seems like it happens a lot......I have taken it underwater.......sometimes goes to USB connected?...then you can"t do anything...other times works great...I still have the E-trac...best machine they make...and have a Excalbur 11............The only time ..I like the 3030 ..more than the E-trac..is when hunting super garbage area...then ..I still don't think it goes as deep as E-trac.........could be me?..............I know a lot of guys..say the Explorers are the deepest?...........Can you believe it..only nine tries to get ahold of Minelab(Human)......We will see!!!!!

I had the same problem with mine. The USB port had leaked a tiny bit before I bought the machine from another individual. I opened it up and inspected with a strong magnifying glass and saw a tiny bit of corrosion. Clean it and blew it out with air a left it open for a day or 2. Screwed the cap back on and took it into the water a day later. No problems since. BTW, I was ready to send it in but I decided to call Minelab !st. They told me what to look for, they were right and I'm very happy.
