CTX first day gold

Bought my CTX in Sept. and finally got to take her out for a spin . Went to an old swimming lake that 's been closed since the 60's. This place has really been hammered over the years by a variety of water (and land) detectors so I figured it would be a great testing ground .Lot's of trash but I could "pick" through it with the CTX. After about an hour I received a 12-09 close to a steel cable that ran the lenghth of the beach. The first scoop brought up a beautiful 14 K gold antique ring .To think how many walked right over this . I think it was the steel cable that was masking it . I also later found a wheatie a 1919 merc and a .925 sterling ring along the same line. What a way to break in a new machine !

Congrats on the gold and silvers. Nothing unmasks targets like the CTX. Nicely done. Keep it up and you'll want to change your username. HH Randy
