I have had the ctx for around 6 months now and have used it occasionally on my 13 acre parcel.
I've found a lot of scrap cans and pie plates, shards from buried metal roofs and one 1983-D lincoln
I was able to find a property line stake that was buried, so score 1 for the operator/hardware unit.
Not too impressive, but I don't blame the hardware...
However, I have found that I get a lot of signals--- that when I dig a hole -- seem to disappear. Using a Garrett pro-pointer I get nothing and using the CTX I get nothing once the hole is opened.
Could this be a sensitivity problem??? I have sensitivity on auto, but perhaps I should put it on manual.
This seems to happen no matter what pattern I use; Minelab patterns or some custom patterns downloaded from this site.
Any suggestions??? I don't expect the ctx to find what is not there, but I'd sure like to have the CTX not indicate a target for what isn't there either.
BTW, the unit has been updated with the latest software from Minelab as well as the exchange 2 software.
Thanks in advance
