Well, 3 weeks into owning my ctx and I've lost my charging battery pack. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? I hate running to the store to buy AA batteries every other day or so!
 
Use rechargeables or try to figure out where you lost it. I don't think extra battery Li battery packs are available yet.

Heck, I sent my ctx in to Minelab last week for replacement due to a defective speaker and they are even out of the detectors! So far no word on when I will get a replacement detector.

WOW...that $ucks!
 
If you decide to go with rechargeables then consider some that are low self discharge: Eneloops or Powerex Imedions.
They hold their charge much better than standard rechargeables.
 
Yes I have heard that they haven't had any detectors for some time,some dealers have some still in stock.You can not get any parts for the CTX 3030 anywheres at all. One of the guys here in NJ lost the battery seal and Minelab does have any.This seems a little crazy!

That's not good. Minelab Americas was closed today (the third) and tomorrow. I guess I'll check with Brian Thursday and see if they know when they will get a detector back to me. I hope there is a plane or boat full of them somewhere close to docking. They have not had a smooth rollout with the CTX.
 
The rollout over here in the UK wasn't good either, I have been 50/50 about going for one but decided to stay with what I already have, excalibur and e-trac. Lots of guys over here still waiting for waterproof headphones, so very mixed feelings over the machine at the moment.
 
I've seen a couple of the stock yellow waterproof headphones on ebay in the U.S. So, those are starting to show up. Although, everyone seems to prefer the Gray Ghosts or other brands to the Koss.
 
A local dealer told me on Monday that production on the 3030 has stopped. He did not clarify except Minelab told him about 30 days. He made it sound like possibly a part or parts shortage has halted production. So if you are on the fence about buying one, better make a decision quick or you might have a long wait.

Just curious how do you lose your battery pack?

Hello. I just read you post and you mentioned a defective speaker. I assume the control head speaker. Do you water hunt and could this have been the cause? I was just curious. Thanks Robert
