Ctx beach detecting

Just wondering I use the beach setting on the sandy shores here in south Texas anything I can do to the detector to boost up my finding thank for any input

I'm in southern California, and had the same problem. I use the 17'' coil and have detected a half mile of wet sand and get one target, using the standard beach mode, ferrous coin ,seawater and open screen. So I bought a Whites dual field PI which goes super deep, but at least I'm getting a ton of targets, deep coins, a few hair pins, a bottle cap once in awhile but my good finds out weight the trash by far. but you got to like digging with a PI. and I do cause it keeps my fit. I still need my CTX for iron infested areas it's a killer in iron. on land it's a must, parks the same. It's a fantastic machine, but I prefer a PI in the wet sand. Just my in put always do what works best for your area.

I think Whites will sell out of the Surf P.I dual field detectors soon because of you:detecting:
Makes sense to me. Getting one myself:thumbup:
