CTX Back Pack

Is anyone folding the CTX up but still all connected and assembled? I usually pack things up on my bike and wonder what size pack I need to fit the CTX into - I don't want to disassemble it if possible. If any of you are using packs I'd love to know the brand, especially if it fits in without too much extra length of the pack. Perhaps some others would like an idea as well.

Does anyone have the measurements for the coil folded back and rod slid all the way into the main unit (with cables still attached)? (Sort of like a Deus retracted position)

I think Digger said it was 36" total, but he didn't say if the coil was folded under, might be off there.

Thanks for reading,
Albert

ps - I have the Minelab logo carry bag but would prefer something much shorter.

Thanks so much Ray!

I can start looking for a pack. If anyone has a pack idea, post it here.

First thing that comes to mind is a military duffel bag. The handles can be used as straps, like a back pack. That would give you plenty of room for the detector and any supplies/equipment you needed to take. I used to wear mine all the time like a back pack. If I remember correctly they are about 42" long

My MineLab bags do not work cause it won't zip over the control pod. I do have a Whotes bag and it works great.

The Minelab bag will work if you take the battery pack off. Still a tight fit though.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Larry - I forgot the battery pack comes off. Good point.

Tom - The reason I don't like to use the logo bag is that it looks like a gun case in a way! I want more incognito. ;-)
