Ctx armrest possible problem

EddieB

Member
Just received my ctx and and read through and follow the directions to assembly, everything went together as designed but having a problem with the armrest cam lock to turn as instructed. The twist lock will only turn clockwise about to the 1 on the clock. This is completely opposited of what the instructions say to do. And when turning the twist lock back the arm rest still will move. Is this normal? All and any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks, EddieB

From past posts, several had mentioned that a little more force is needed, but it will go.

Spread the plastic sides apart a bit to get your hand in there and it will go another click and then will hold at least that is what I had happen the other day when I got mine put together.

Hi Eddie, I had the same problem but it will go. I took the strap off mine and set the detector down on the floor. Then I took and placed my thumbs on each side of the center piece and pushed with quite a bit of force. It ended up a little past the 3/9 oclock position and is now pretty snug.. hope this helps....

I like to thank you and all the others that responded. Did you start out turning to the counter-clock wise position then slide on to detector and then back to clockwise? For the life of me, I can turn the darn thing either way. Thanks again, EddieB

I finally got it. Apparently the manufacturer had the twist lock in the wrong position. It popped out when I put it on the floor without being on the handle. I popped it back in and dis a bigboar had directed. Thanks again to you all. You're be hearing back from me. EddieB

the center line shoud be at 6/12 oclock when you slide it on. now if you are standing behind the detector looking toward the coil, you want to turn clockwise. take the strap out so its not in your way and use quite a bit of force to turn clockwise. if you cant get it to move by hand you can always use pliars. just wrap tape around the ends so it doesnt marr up the knob.

Hey thanks for the question and the response. I wondered how to do that. I took my arm cuff off to make sure that it was installed correctly before I added the extra pressue on the cam. It was correct and it moved very easily with the added leverage of a vice grip.

Thanks,
Smack
