ctx 3030

It's advertised as being able to go 3 meters under water. Any leaking would be an anomaly, but not unheard of. The more experienced people will chime in...

I don't go more than 2-3 feet under the water(like when a large wave engulfs me). If I know my detector is going for a swim, I take the Excal; I don't want to risk the money- others have different tolerance levels of risk of course.

Look up Frogmaster Riviera on this forum or just Google it. He goes down 40 meters with his 3030

Mine is out of warranty so I haven't been brave enough even with the new O-rings to go deep enough to get the screen wet. I usually only go about waist deep, and I set my detector on the riverbank to dig a target if it's deep enough that I can't just hold it above my head while I dig.

You are correct it was 40 feet or 12 meters. That would really be something if it went 40 meters

I go in the ocean as deep as I can without getting knocked over...no leaks, but I am extremely careful about taking the battery off and back on..I also got the improved gasket for the battery

It good to change the battery o rings, but do not put a o ring on the USB port, it will
leak. Silicone grease on USB port and after market battery o rings with grease
has kept Ctx working in pounding surf.
