CTX 3030 help

Hey guys been awhile since my last post. I've been out of detecting for about a year now and getting back in. This is my question, I've got a guy that's got a CTX for sale. Says the detector is 3 years old, just got it back from Minelab with a new screen put in and a clean bill of health. Cosmetically it looks pretty good, the wireless module is missing the rubber cover. Says it's never been submerged and comes with the stock coil, 6 inch coil, and 17 inch coil, and gray ghost headphones. $1300 is his price. Is this a good price? Thanks so much for your input in advance guys and thanks for such a great forum of experienced guys that don't mind lending a hand!!

With all three coils, Yes! The fact that it was sent in for repair would make me nervous though. I would ask to see all the paperwork from Minelab stating what the problem was and what they did about it.

Thanks so much for the advice. He said that the screen had some dead pixels in it (that didn't affect the machine at all), but he sent it back in and had it fixed as well as checked out before the warranty expired.

Yeah, that dead pixels/stripe problem is pretty common.
I had to send in one of mine for that very thing, but it's fine now.

And, yes, w/all the coils, that's a great/awesome price.

That's what I was thinking. I could always sale one of the coils to make some money I guess. That 17 inch coil is huge!

Just an FYI about this, Minelab service doesn't send an explanation of repairs when they send the detector back to you. You would have to call them and have them look it up and either mail or email the info to you.
