I did a little Civil War relic hunting today. Found a half Dime I thought I was digging a bullet.
Found it with the 17 inch coil . I had found two half dimes with the 17 inch, and one with the 11 inch coil.
This half dime was at 9 inches deep. and the CTX found my first three cent piece. The CTX it's just awesome! Best detector I've ever used.

It is a great detector But you found those great coins. You put yourself in the right spot. You decided to dig the signal. Excellent finds. Good for you

Thanks for the comment. I didn't have a lot of time to post . I was so excited about finding another half dime.I didn't post all what I found that day with the CTX. The pics that are attached are the same hunt. The halfdime come in about 12-38, it bounced around a little bit 12-36 two 12-39. Yes I have a very good spot to hunt. There were no battles at this site.the Confederates were there first and then the union come in and took over. There was a skirmish across the river. In one of the pictures I think it is part of gun, but I'm not sure. It's definitely not the shape it should be.People ask if the CTX is worth. I say it is,
but you definitely have to be in a spot where things are.

I found a half to day also 1853 it was........ 12-37-38 my first. Congratulations great job
