Had to pick my nephew from school today I noticed the bleachers on the visitors side of the ball feild had dirt under them so I drop him at the house and grabbed the 3030 put the 6 inch coil on and the second signal was a 12-22 just under the Moss was this wide 10k gold band.

Nice...

When I first started detecting in the early '70s, sports bleachers were my main 'go to' for gas/lunch money. :)
Of course, they were mostly made of wood back then, (thus easier to hunt), but people are still losing things today at games!)

why are seats called bleachers ?

I think we call them grand stands or something like that

well done on the ring.

Quickie internet browse says oldest use found was 1889 and referred to wooden plank cheap seats in uncovered event area where constant sun and weather bleached out the wood.
Small coil and LOW SEN are the way to get the goods under the boards and loads of metal.
