Other than the CTX manual, is there anyone that can give me simple instruction for using it to plot my travel in a large field or on the beach, so that I can easily tell where I have been and the approximate areas and travel patterns that I used? The next time I go to that area, I would like to be able to tell where I covered and where I left off and where I want to begin a new hunt on un-hunted ground.
I use a Garmin GPS Unit in my car, but that is the extent of my GPS use. I have never used a hand held unit.
I went to the GPS Classroom section on this forum, but it does not cover the CTX GPS at all, that I could find.
For an older guy with very little computer savvy, am I better off just forgetting about using it all together, or is it simpler than I think? I have been under the weather for the last week and thought that it would be a good time for me to play with the GPS function, but I don't want to take a chance on messing something up, by pushing the wrong button.
Thanks in advance for everyone's input.
