CTX 30-30 numbers

What do the numbers on the screen mean--- 12/10, 37/41, etc. when I get a signal.

The manual is not too clear to me. I used to have a XLT Whites, and a Fisher CZ-20. The high-tech mine lab rig is really baffling to me.

Thanks for any info.

your first #'s (12/10) are your ferrous #'s....the second group #'s (37/41) are your conductive #'s.....

Starting out don't worry too much about the first group, the ferrous #'s.....pay more attention too the second conductive #'s to help you identify what may be underneath your coil but audio trumps all/any #'s so look for consistancy and start digging....it'll all come together for you in time.

Go to the 3030 forum and ask your questions there, some really helpful folks will try and help you make sense of it all. Also watch any youtube vids on the 3030, they'll help you a bunch....!!!!!!

If you are near a city where a minelab boot camp will be conducted I'd say its a good idea to go. Also tons of you tube videos up to help understand the controls and settings

short answer they mean nothing unless you maybe are hunting 1000's of year old sites and then I doubt they help its just the up down lines of the discrimination in number form.
