CTX & 13 x 17 is a killer on deep CW bullets

Got out for a couple of hours to my favorite CW relic site . It was 98 and no shade or breeze so 2 hours was enough. The grass is about 6" high in the pasture so I had to work the big coil hard and try to scrub the grass down a bit for the deep bullets I knew were still there.
Was running two tone ferrous with high trash and manual sensitivity at 26-28. Almost all the bullets were at 10" or more not counting the air space caused by the grass (measured with my tape measure). They would give a iron grunt mixed with a high tone and as I worked them with the Minelab wiggle and pressed the grass down they would go to a solid high tone most passes.ID numbers were all over the place and went by tone alone and it worked superb. I was in an area that had only moderate square nails and they were all solid iron grunts.

Was very pleased with the complete pin fires as they are the first for me at this site

The farmer just moved the cattle into the pasture so can not wait till they eat the grass down short so I can get down too the ultra deep goodies.I have dug several pre CW minted half dimes and dimes there along with one quarter with my E-Trac and know there is more waiting on me

Stopped off at a old country church and nabbed the two Indians on the way home.

Great Finds!!

How was the pin pointing with the larger coil? I have found it more challenging than with standard coil. I have not found it to go particularly deeper than the standard coil. I also noticed VIDs and depths did not seem as accurate. What is your opinion of these facets?

Ray,
Great job. Those are really nice finds. Keep up the good work. It will be nice to see what you find and the cattle eat and knock the grass down. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the report Ray. Nice finds. What TID's are showing up? I have found 31 or 32 is most always a bullet canister balls in the low 40s and got some cuff buttons in the high 40s. Not found any $1 gold coins with the 3030 but they come in at 12-01 and 12-02. Don't pass those up. Thanks for posting. HH :minelab:

Complete pin fires are awesome!
Great job on the bullets, the indians just topped it all off.
Congrats on the great finds!
