[size=large] Daughter # 3, Sarah, has been wanting to go relic hunting with me so today we headed out for a few hours. Sarah is 16 and a very accomplished high level gymnast. She is very strong, so much so that I refuse to arm wrestle her because I'm afraid I'll lose.

[size=large]We stopped at a country store to get a few snacks on the way to the relic fields, and noticed a lot of commotion around a pickup truck. I figured the guy had a big buck in there, so I thought I'd take Sarah (who got her first deer last year) over to take a look. Turns out it was a big bear, about 350 pounds worth. I asked the guy where he got it and he pointed just down the road a ways (oh, you mean right down the road where I detect the old stone chimney a half mile into the woods?). Anyway, there was quite a few people snapping pictures so I thought I'd get one.

[size=large] We got to the field and started detecting. I saw Sarah zeroing in on a target, got out the camera and yelled, "Yo!"

[size=large]I dug some bullets.

[size=large] Sarah dug a couple bullets and a broken Spencer case.

[size=large]Although we didn't find any big, fat, juicy buttons, we did have a good time in perfect detecting weather. Shared a lunch and I even let her drive the truck out of the pasture in 4 wheel drive and told her she could run all over the big bushes she wanted (there were some large 6-7' high weeds growing in the pasture, when you hit them the seeds went all over the place; looked like a mini-explosion).
